Was just another aimless night

That glass of whiskey had lost its bite

And as I stumbled to my truck

Had no idea I’d run outta luck

That deadly curve came awful fast

I couldn't hold that dreadful curve

I guess I got what I deserved

The twisted metal pinned me in

I guess this time I couldn't win

Woke up confused, lyin' in bed

Broken bones and busted head

Like a child, I closed my eyes and prayed

Jesus, if you're real, please show me the way

Then Jesus showed me all my sin

I begged forgiveness

And to change me from within

With chains of sin no longer bound

I was lost...but now I'm found

Jesus saved me from the fire

His mercy turned my heart’s desire

From the depths, He rescued me

I once was blind, but now I see

I had no strength, no will to fight

Close to death that dreadful night

So low I had no more to fall
