Thirst No More

Lyrics by Tom BorgesonCopyright 2026

I grew up thinking proudly, I could take the world by storm

But the emptiness and turmoil were more the daily norm

My soul was troubled and confused, my life was just a mess

A life that’s filled with fancy things and endless hopelessness

I felt that I was drowning in a deep'ning sea of lies

Lasting peace seemed out of reach, wasn’t somethin’ I could buy

People told me just have fun, it'll take away your stress

I was thirsting for some answers, and nothin' brought me rest

When I thought I’d go no longer

I met a preacher on that day

Seems God put him there on purpose

He had placed him right in my way

I questioned what he had to offer

What kind of story would he tell

With his Bible, he preached to me

About a woman and a well

A well that never will run dry

It flows from truth and not from lies

From the Savior that we all need

The living water flowing free

The fountain for my thirsty soul

Where grace and mercy overflow

My spirit knelt on bended knee

His living water set me free

So drink the water Jesus gives

‘Cause he who drinks forever lives

Yeah, drink the water Jesus gives

Confess your sins, and He forgives

Ohhh, drink the water Jesus gives

Thirst no more and forever live

God's grace will wash away the past

And in its place, the hope that lasts
